Students recognised for community work

Member for Fairfax Ted O’Brien recently congratulated this year’s Fairfax Award recipients at St John’s College, Nambour - Jasmine Lohman, Alexandra Angus, Samina Reynolds, Prue Rezes and Angelique McClaren-McClymont. The Fairfax Award acknowledges the valuable contribution of local students and is presented in the spirit of Ruth Fairfax, a great community leader. Ruth Fairfax, founder of the Queensland Country Women’s Association, dedicated herself to service and is best remembered for continuing to look after and inspire others to discover their own strengths and to use those strengths to contribute to their community.
